So here’s a short guide on how to participate in some of those keystone college activities, at least the school-safe ones, while still keeping up those quarantine measures. The funny virus has made these a bit more difficult, but not impossible, to engage in. One of my favorite changes that came in my first semester was broadening my hobby horizons, and likely more than a few of you will end up discovering a hobby you didn’t know you’d love. Given your first college semester will take place during the outbreak of the comedy contagion, you will likely miss out on some of the quintessential Illinois Tech experiences, like four to five dormitory fire alarms a week or not being able to find a table in the Commons. And more likely than not, this change will approach you in due time. College has changed me greatly, and I wouldn’t be surprised if I still have more growth to make. I’ve had two long, enduring years at this school and it looks like another couple are ahead of me. As a third year, I’d like to think I know my way around the campus.
